This updated sensor design provides improved image clarity, resolution and dynamic range, as well as high sensitivity to ISO 25600 and low noise to handle a variety of situations. Combined with advanced image processing, this sensor is also capable of outputting UHD 4K30p and Full HD 120p video, as well as supporting continuous frame rates up to 10 fps. When working with an optical viewfinder, apt 45-point all transverse AF systems provide fast performance in a range of light conditions to track moving objects and work in low light, while a 5481-point dual-pixel CMOS AF system supports real-time shooting and Movie recording, delivering smooth, natural focus quality similar to how a camcorder takes focus. Complementing the imaging capabilities, the 90D sports a vari-angle LCD touch screen for intuitive operation and compositional freedom, while the optical pentaprism viewfinder provides a bright, clear, and lifelike viewing experience that is characteristic of DSLR shooting.
